Chief Product Officer

Hybrid in Netherlands / Remote (EU-friendly time zones) · onside.io - alternative marketplace for iOS
Apply

Onside is building the first alternative iOS app marketplace in the EU (and other regions) — a platform where developers can publish, distribute, and monetize their apps outside the App Store. We’re here to give developers more freedom, better monetization tools, and transparent policies. Think less bureaucracy, more creativity — and a team that actually ships.

Now we are looking for a Chief Product Officer to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for:

    • the App Marketplace,
    • Publisher / Developer Interface,
    • payment and monetization solutions.
  • Lead product development for alternative app distribution, including integrations with different platforms and payment methods (including proprietary solutions).
  • Act as the main product owner and decision-maker across teams, with clear ownership over priorities, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Work closely with engineering to translate product goals into clear, actionable requirements and predictable delivery plans.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders (founders, sales, partners, clients), gather input, and make prioritization decisions aligned with business goals and user needs.
  • Ensure timely and consistent communication on product and technical topics — both internally and externally.
  • Set, track, and iterate on product KPIs to measure success, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain product processes: backlog management, roadmap updates, regular product syncs, demos, and status updates for the team.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in product management, including leadership roles (CPO, Head of Product, Senior PM, Product Owner).
  • Have hands-on experience with complex platforms: marketplaces, fintech, payments, developer tools, or infrastructure-heavy products.
  • Are comfortable discussing technical topics and working very closely with engineering teams.
  • Can bring structure, ownership, and predictability without slowing the team down.
  • Are responsive, proactive, and reliable in communication — especially when others depend on your answers.
  • Take responsibility end-to-end and don’t drop threads or decisions.
  • Speak good English and Russian.

Conditions

Why you’ll like it here:

  • You’ll build something new and meaningful.
  • Small, senior team with real ownership and no corporate layers.
  • Possibility of remote work (if not in Amsterdam), flexible hours, straightforward communication.
  • We move fast and value people who do the same.

If you are passionate about technology and want to be part of a team that is redefining the marketplace experience, we would love to hear from you!
