Responsibilities

The Role

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to own and drive all brand, creative, communications, and community engagement for ROOTS — across digital and offline touchpoints.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the GM, and working closely with the Head of E-commerce, Head of Commercial, and Head of Operations. You will be responsible for building our brand presence, customer love, and engagement — while aligning closely with business growth goals.

What You’ll Own:
Brand Strategy & Storytelling

  • Define and execute the ROOTS brand vision, values, and tone across all channels.
  • Develop creative concepts and campaigns that inspire our customers and reinforce our clean label positioning.

Campaigns & Activations

  • Plan and execute 360° campaigns — digital, social, in-store, PR — for seasonal moments, product launches, and partnerships.
  • Oversee offline activations: events, tastings, pop-ups.

Content & Creative

  • Lead the content calendar for social, CRM, and in-store screens.
  • Brief, guide, and approve creative assets from internal and external teams.

CRM & Loyalty

  • Own customer retention channels (WhatsApp, email, loyalty programs) — excluding paid performance marketing (run by e-com).
  • Drive customer segmentation and personalized communications.

Community & PR

  • Build and nurture a ROOTS community of loyal customers and advocates.
  • Manage influencer partnerships, press, and media outreach.

Budget & Performance

  • Manage the marketing budget for brand, creative, and events.
  • Set clear KPIs: brand awareness, engagement, NPS, campaign ROI.
  • Monitor and report results with actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in marketing with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in food, FMCG, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record building and executing 360° campaigns that drive measurable brand growth.
  • Strong creative judgement with hands-on experience briefing and guiding designers, photographers, and content creators.
  • Data-informed: comfortable tracking KPIs and making decisions based on performance.
  • Natural collaborator — can work cross-functionally with commercial, e-com, and operations teams.
  • Excellent communicator in English; Arabic a plus.
