Lead Rust developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Rust Developer to join our forward-thinking startup. We are building an alternative app marketplace from the ground up for iOS and Android platforms, and we need a skilled professional to take charge of our backend systems. • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and services using Rust, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Develop and manage custom monitoring and deployment tools tailored to our specific needs, leveraging Google Cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the team to define system architecture and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our applications.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, with a focus on compliance and certification standards relevant to fintech.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, mobile developers, and product managers, to deliver a seamless and secure user experience.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring that our systems are optimized for high-volume, financial transactions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of the persistence layer, strong knowledge of SQL, and experience working with PostgreSQL in production.
• Extensive experience as a Rust Developer, with strong expertise in building and scaling backend systems.
• Deep understanding of Rust and its ecosystem, along with experience in cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Strong background in fintech, including knowledge of billing systems, certifications, and regulatory compliance will be a plus.
