As (Senior) Product Manager for Vision Guide, you own one of Fielmann’s most critical in-store digital products. 
Vision Guide supports opticians during the eyewear consultation and is a key enabler of a seamless omnichannel customer journey. 

You are responsible for shaping the product vision, driving continuous product improvements, and ensuring that Vision Guide delivers real value in daily store operations. 
You work closely with engineering, design, retail, optometry, business and rollout teams to evolve the product in a scalable and sustainable way across markets. 

This role is ideal for a strong, business-oriented Product Manager with experience in retail, in-store or omnichannel products who enjoys working close to real users and complex operational environments. 

Responsibilities

Core Product Management responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Vision Guide, aligned with domain and company objectives. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of users and customers (opticians, store staff, customers) through qualitative and quantitative research and continuous feedback. 
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer value, business impact and feasibility
  • Work closely with engineering, design, analytics and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes end-to-end. 
  • Define success metrics, track product performance and continuously improve the product using data and OKRs
  • Communicate product vision, priorities and decisions clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. 

Vision Guide–specific responsibilities:

  • Own Vision Guide as an in-store consultation tool, used daily by opticians across markets. 
  • Translate retail and optician needs into clear, prioritized product requirements and enhancements within Vision Guide, balancing usability, speed and reliability in a real-world store environment. 
  • Ensure Vision Guide fits seamlessly into the end-to-end omnichannel customer journey, integrating with upstream and downstream systems (e.g. booking, ordering, aftercare). 
  • Support large-scale rollouts across stores and countries by ensuring product readiness, clear rollout requirements and structured feedback loops, in close collaboration with dedicated project and rollout teams. 
  • Collaborate closely with Optometry, Sales, Retail Operations, Training and Business Development to ensure adoption and measurable impact in stores. 

Requirements

What you bring:

  • Must-have qualifications 
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a digital product environment. 
  • Strong understanding of product management methodologies (discovery, prioritization, roadmapping, delivery). 
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with KPIs and product metrics
  • A mindset of AI-supported product work: you actively use modern tools to improve discovery, documentation, analysis and decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Fluency in English (German is a strong plus). 

  • Strong plus / Vision Guide–relevant experience 
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT or similar) to support product work such as research synthesis, PRD drafting, ideation, stakeholder communication or decision preparation. 
  • Experience with retail, in-store or omnichannel products (e.g. POS systems, consultation tools, store software). 
  • Experience contributing to large-scale software rollouts across multiple locations or markets. 
  • High empathy for store representatives / frontline users and their day-to-day operational constraints. 
  • Background in E-Commerce, Omnichannel or customer-facing platforms
  • Basic technical understanding of system integrations, APIs and data flows, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and dependent systems. 
    (A hands-on development background is not required.) 
  • Experience working in complex system landscapes (e.g. CRM, order systems, backend services) is a plus.
