QA engineer

At Onside, we’re building the first alternative iOS app marketplace in Europe — and now in Japan — a platform that lets developers publish and monetize their apps outside the App Store.

Our goal is to make app publishing transparent, compliant, and developer-friendly.

We move fast, keep processes lean, and are looking for a QA Engineer to join our QA team. We need someone who can think critically, work methodically, and thrive in a high-paced environment.

You will be responsible for conducting manual and automated testing, documenting and reporting issues, and championing quality throughout the development lifecycle.

You’ll test complex flows involving developer on boarding, app distribution, and payments — not just UI.

As our QA Engineer, you will:

• Participate in testing: Conduct exploratory, functional, and integration testing, applying your expertise where it’s most needed.
• Contribute to automation: Develop and maintain automated test suites, particularly for critical API and regression scenarios.
• Manage test documentation: Maintain clear and effective test plans, test cases, and automation suites.
• Handle defects: Track, validate, and retest issues, working closely with developers to ensure robust fixes.
• Collaborate across teams: Ensure product quality aligns with business requirements and use cases.
• Champion quality: Help improve testing processes, suggest enhancements, and promote QA best practices.
• Provide feedback: Share recommendations with developers and stakeholders based on test results to drive product improvement.

You’ll fit in if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience in software QA, with 1–2+ years of experience testing native IOS applications (Android is a plus)
• Are familiar with tools such as Chrome DevTools, Charles, Testmo, Jira, Linear (or similar)
• Have hands-on experience writing automated tests and understanding common automation principles and tooling (API, web, or mobile)
• Have experience with localization testing (L10N) across multiple languages (RTL is a plus)
• Understand the full SDLC, agile methodologies, and modern QA best practices.
• Have working proficiency in English (Russian is a plus)
• Can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Have passion for testing and eagerness to develop new skills.
• Bonus: Experience testing marketplaces, SaaS platforms, or developer-focused tools.
